About the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund (RCNBF)

A charity established in 1942, the RCNBF has upheld a long tradition of providing financial assistance to retired and serving members of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and their families with pressing needs. Over the past few years, we’ve expanded this endeavour through a formal needs assessment and organizational renewal. Today, we work in partnership with the Navy family and strive to create programs and grants for the well-being of the naval community.

Propelled by an enthusiastic cadre of volunteers and a small staff, the RCNBF engages in programming that includes individual support in response to crises, works with partners to help on specific initiatives and educational projects, and confers an established leadership award. We continually seek opportunities to leverage the funds with partners and sponsors to achieve maximum impact in our charitable activities.
