On January 30, 2025, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the Ottawa Senators
CAF Appreciation Night, a special event dedicated to honoring the sacrifices and
dedication of Canada’s military community.

Thanks to the generosity of PCL Construction, we hosted donors, supporters, and a few
new faces in their corporate suite at the Canadian Tire Centre. This event provided a
wonderful chance to connect with our community, express our gratitude, and strengthen
relationships that allow us to continue supporting naval veterans, serving members, and
their families.

A highlight of the evening was welcoming representatives from the Canadian Veterans
Service Dog Unit (CVSDU), including board members Simon Page and Dwayne
Sawyer, accompanied by Nala, Dwayne’s service dog. We are proud to support the
acquisition, training, and matching of a service dog with a naval veteran each year for
the next five years, an initiative that will change lives.

Additionally, we were honored to receive a generous donation from the Landshark
Group, a dedicated supporter for the past three years. Special thanks to Trevor
Kolybaba, who traveled from Brantford, Ontario, to present the donation in person.

This night was a true testament to the power of community and corporate support in
helping us fulfill our mission. To all who joined us and continue to stand with the Navy
family, thank you!
