Ottawa, September 14, 2022

Once again, the RCNBF will be providing bursaries of up to $2,000 to eligible post-secondary students to help cover gaps between the amount of financial support a student needs to attend school and any available government assistance they may receive. The bursary award is a non-repayable, one-time allocation. Applicants must fulfill all the obligations of the application process to be considered.

The Bursary is intended for students who are veterans of the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN), Maritime Command, or Naval Reserve (provided they do not qualify for the Veterans Education and Training Benefit), are family members of veterans and serving members of the RCN, Maritime Command, or Naval Reserve, and are enrolled in a full-time post-secondary education program (undergraduate/graduate, diploma/certificate programs such as vocational/technical) in a recognized Canadian learning institution.

Please visit the website for full details on the eligibility and the application form. https://rcnbf.ca/getting-help/bursaries/  Applicants must submit a duly completed application form and upload any required documents.

The application process opened on September 8 and closes on October 28, 2022, at 5 pm ET. A panel of RCNBF volunteers will adjudicate the applications shortly after the deadline, and successful applicants will be advised by November 24, 2022, with decisions posted on the RCNBF website by December 1, 2022. Note: the deadline is strictly observed – Late applications will not be considered.
