Ottawa, Tuesday May 9, 2022 – The Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund (RCNBF) commemorates its 80th anniversary in 2022 through a year-long celebration that acknowledges its rich history and achievements, while also shining a spotlight on what we have in store for the future!
Since its founding in 1942, the RCNBF has been providing financial assistance to members of the naval family during times of emergency and distress. Our stories paint a very real picture of the impact this organization has had in tangibly improving the lives of naval people in need. This significant milestone and enduring legacy are only possible due to the dedication and commitment of countless individuals, and we are forever indebted to the many volunteers who have advanced and guided the RCNBF throughout the decades.
As the RCNBF moves forward in its renewed vision of promoting the wellbeing of the naval community to enrich the lives of sailors, veterans, and their families, we plan to further broaden our impact through new strategies, directions, and programs based on clearly defined needs.
By understanding where we could best make a difference in the naval community, the RCNBF will be well positioned to provide for those needing our help in the naval family over the next 80 years and beyond.
